Filler Plates do the job.

These do what they should. They fill up the space in my Vacmaster VP112 chamber vacuum machine. They can be used individually or together depending on the height of what you are sealing.

Saves time and prevents spills

These are a great accessory to help prevent spills and lessen the time it takes to evacuate the chamber. Used to use a large book, these are much nicer.

Filler plate set for VP 112

I finally bought the filler plate set. Wish I would have done it 1100 packages ago. Plates fit perfectly and are multiple layers so you can adjust accordingly if you have something larger you need to package.

Ok for the VP112S

Like the other reviews, I thought this would really reduce the vacuum time. They don't seem to save time on sealing; however, they do a great job of leveling items for a cleaner seal. Also, they fit awkwardly in the sealer? The size of each is plate makes for an array of confusing configurations. Some instructions might help.

A must for the VP112!

The filler plate set is a MUST! Really should be included with the machine. The set will allow for various size bags and will minimize the vacuum time required. Not sure, but with the reduced vacuum time required per seal with this accessory the life of the vacuum pump may be increased. Good quality and machine washable.

Get these for your VP112S!

If memory serves, the original VP112 came with filler plates to supposedly reduce the vacuum time if you didn't have much in the chamber. They stopped including them with the A version because they said the newer unit vacuumed just as fast without them. They are also not included with the S version. They do serve another purpose and that to raise the "floor" of the chamber making it easier to lay bags flat. For this purpose they work great. For grins, I tried vacuuming two identical loads with and without the plates. With the plates it took 59 seconds, without 61 seconds. I don't know if this is any different from the VP112. Not a major difference, but I am glad I have them. They work great at raising the floor of chamber to make it easier to lay the bag flat in the seal area if you are sealing small quantities.
