VacMaster at Texas Restaurant Show

After a stellar showing in Chicago this past May, Team VacMaster is gearing up for the Texas Restaurant Association’s Marketplace trade show in Dallas, Texas on July 9th and 10th. Billed as the second largest restaurant trade show in the country, it all happens at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in downtown Dallas.

At this year’s Chicago NRA show, Team VacMaster set the stage for a new era by cooking for the attendees. We smashed nearly 300 pounds of beef and shrimp over the 4-day show. All of it was cooked sous vide at our booth and finished with a generous dusting of our new sous vide specialty line of spice rubs. Building on that experience and excitement, we will be serving up more of the same for our next stop in Dallas.

When we’re not cooking up hundreds of pounds of proteins for attendees to sample, our team stays busy manning the booth. This time you can find us at Booth #2322, showcasing our extensive line of VacMaster vacuum sealers along with our sous vide cooking solutions.

When I’m on a trade show tour, I consider myself a “boothMonkee” – just one of thousands who are locked in exhibitor cages, being visited and ogled by a steady wave of attendees. We’re part of a nomadic bunch, traveling from show to show around the country.

In Dallas, I’ll see many of the same boothMonkees whom I’ve already met in Chicago, Milwaukee, and Portland earlier this year and will no doubt see again as our year of trade shows trudges on.

Like the delightful and vivacious “salmonGal” schooled in Hong Kong, who now moonlights as a “smoked fish monkee” when she’s not faux painting in Vail or appearing on magazine covers. Or the consulting chef for a major food company who, after chatting over the course of a few days, realized that I was “the guy” who stole the girl, the love of his life, over 30 years ago! These are just a few of the monkees I look forward to reconnecting with as our weird band hits the trade show trail again.

The good boothMonkees – the real good ones, like those – are good because they truly love and appreciate their products. It’s easy to sell something you truly believe in, and they do. They prove it every morning they’re up at the crack of dawn, ready to engage thousands of attendees, for every show across the country.

I urge every one of you in the area to come visit us at Booth #2322 on July 9th and 10th at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas. Your VacMaster boothMonkees will be waiting!
